Shape, details and use

Discover Pollen

Pollen puts the shade first. Its hexagonal relief follows the curved shell and remains visible in the unlit creator examples. The lit example shows a warm glow across the shade, while the close-up makes the surface easier to judge. These are design examples rather than a measured light-output promise.

The selected original base has four legs. A beige finish gives the creator example a wood-like appearance, but the set offered here is printed in PLA. Pair a light shade with a contrasting base, or use one colour for a quieter outline.

On a narrow table, the shade matters more than the small footprint. Its original digital width is about 21.1 cm, compared with about 12.8 cm for the base. Check the surrounding shelf, books and cable space as well. Separate part heights do not establish the finished assembled height. The fixed-price set contains the original shade and base; lighting hardware and assembly are separate.

Print time and material for Pollen

Two printed parts: the original Pollen shade and matching four-legged base. The bulb holder, light source, cable and power supply are excluded. Electrical hardware and assembly are not included. The calculation covers all 2 printed parts at the original model scale.

Estimated print timeca. 12 h 24 min
Estimated filament weightca. 288.2 g PLA
Print plates2

These are Bambu Studio estimates for printing the plastic parts. Holder, cable, light source, assembly and shipping are excluded from this machine time and filament weight. Print time is not delivery time.

A different scale, colour or print setting can change the outcome. Millimetres were assumed for source files without a specified unit. The calculation does not confirm physical fit, finished dimensions or electrical properties.

Lamp guide

How much room does Pollen need on a narrow table?

Check the shade width rather than judging by the legs alone. The original digital shade is about 21.1 cm across, while the base is about 12.8 cm across. Allow room for the cable and neighbouring objects; these are digital part dimensions, not measurements of a finished assembled lamp.

Check at shade height

Measure the free space beside books, a wall or an overhead shelf where the broad shade will sit. A base that fits on the surface can still leave the shade crowded. A paper circle about 21.1 cm across is useful for a first width check; confirm the assembled height separately for the chosen hardware.

The base is printed, including a beige one

The creator examples use a pale shade and beige base, giving the legs a wood-like look. The offered set is PLA, so choose the colour for its appearance rather than expecting a timber base. The unlit view helps you compare it with the table surface.

Both original pieces are in the calculation

One shade and one base are sliced on separate plates, with no supports. The source-required inverted base and three wall lines are retained. The totals cover both printed pieces; bulb-holder fit, electrical suitability and light output need separate assessment.

Check the table while it is in use

Do the clearance check with the books, clock or other items you normally keep on the table in place. A broad shade can overhang an object even when the base fits beside it. Leave a clear reach for picking up a book or moving the cable. Check the distance from the wall at shade height, rather than using only the gap between the legs and the table edge. The narrow base is one part of the space decision.

Use both the lit example and the unlit detail when choosing colours. One shows the intended atmosphere; the other makes the hexagonal relief and base easier to compare without illumination changing their appearance. The example does not promise the same light transmission from every filament colour. For a specific lighting arrangement, share the intended module and the available space. Those details allow a fit assessment without assuming a measured assembled height or light output.
