Small-batch 3D printing: from the first sample to a repeatable order
Several identical parts, or a set with different names, colours or dimensions? Send the model or reference and the quantity for each variant. I assess the preparation, any trial and the work repeated for each item. You can start without a finished file.
Repeating a model means more than increasing the quantity
A small batch is a defined order with an agreed version and quantity. Identical copies can share preparation, but printing, removal, finishing, inspection and any assembly recur. The complete run is assessed before price and schedule are confirmed.
Identify the model revision and each variant
Use a clear filename with a revision or date for the version you want repeated. List quantity, dimensions, material and preferred colour for every variant. A different name on a keychain changes the design; a different colour may leave the geometry unchanged. This distinction shows which preparation can be shared.
A photograph of an earlier item does not record every dimension or production setting. If no usable model exists, agree the design work and deliverable first. Changes after the initial trial can affect preparation and scheduling.
Agree a reference sample or fit check where needed
When a part must fit an existing object, assess that connection before making the whole run. Define the question: does the cover close, reopen by hand and leave room for its contents? The necessary trial and checks are agreed for the project.
Record the reviewed version and any changes before proceeding. One fitting sample does not establish a universal dimensional guarantee for other designs. For a decorative set, the important checks may instead be its visible face, colour choice and hanging attachment.
Choose material for the use of the whole batch
Explain whether the items stay indoors, are handled, bend or fit another part. A material chosen for a decorative sample is not automatically suitable for copies under daily load. The exact grade and available colour are confirmed in the quote; a colour name or screen image does not establish stock.
Include the work repeated for every item
Removing supports, finishing visible edges, attaching a ring and sorting variants can each take work per item. State how the pieces should arrive: loose, grouped into sets, with agreed hardware or assembled.
More copies do not automatically earn a fixed discount. Geometry, build-plate layout, variants and manual work contribute to the price. The existing calculator provides a non-binding indication; only the reviewed quote defines your order.
Keep the selected product attached to the request
For a name or logo set, use the keychain page's existing design and ordering route. For Christmas ornaments, select the product and give quantities per name, photo or colour. A jewellery set also needs its attachments and separately supplied components agreed.
- For catalogue models, include each OT model number and the quantity per variant.
- For a repeat order, include the earlier model or order reference and identify changes separately.
A repeat order starts from the previous execution
Send the previous reference, file revision if available and quantities. Identify what must remain the same and what changes: colour, size, material, attachment or packaging. I reassess the possible execution and schedule. An earlier order does not reserve stock or promise a new delivery date.
Ongoing production and shipping for your webshop is a different job from a single defined run. It requires separate agreements about order information and fulfilment.

Is there a fixed minimum quantity?
No fixed minimum or reserved capacity is promised here. State your desired quantity; a first sample can be part of the request.
Can each recipient have a different name?
Supply the names and quantity for each variant. Text or shape changes may require extra preparation, which is included in the proposal before production.
Do I always need a trial print?
No. A trial depends on uncertainty about fit, appearance or function. Its scope and assessment are agreed beforehand.
Can I reorder later?
Request a repeat using the earlier reference and desired changes. Material, colour, price and schedule are confirmed again.
Can the batch use a catalogue model?
Send the OT number and quantities from that model. Rights, scale, execution and any modifications are checked first.
When is the order confirmed?
The execution, quantities, price and schedule are quoted and confirmed in writing before the start. Production follows approval and the agreed payment.
What quantity do you want made?
Send the model or product reference, quantities per variant, intended use, delivered state and preferred date. Include what remains uncertain. Production starts after approval and the agreed payment.
