OmniTechs Review Point

Make it easy for customers to leave an honest review

Place a clear review board on your counter, reception desk or checkout. A customer taps it with a compatible phone or scans its QR code to open your business's Google Review route. No search, no special OmniTechs app and no form that decides whether they are satisfied enough first.

What is the OmniTechs Review Point?

The OmniTechs Review Point is a compact plastic tabletop board for indoor use that lets businesses ask for feedback in a simple, voluntary way.

For a fixed one-time price of €49 excl. VAT, we supply one board with your logo, one primary brand colour, a QR code and an NFC chip configured to your verified Google Review route. No subscription and no required app.

Choose the Review Point when:

  • you only want to shorten the route to your Google Reviews;
  • you already have a good website or other digital customer journey;
  • you do not need a smart-link page;
  • you want a one-time physical product without hosting;
  • the Google Review route is unlikely to change often.

Choose Presence Starter when:

  • customers should be able to call or message as well as review;
  • you want to bring together directions, menu, booking, website and social media;
  • you want to change links later without replacing a physical touchpoint;
  • you need a branded mobile page;
  • the board should be part of a broader customer journey.

Choose the right route

A direct review board or a managed smart link?

OmniTechs offers two different routes. The simplest route that fits your need is usually the right choice.

What is included for €49 excl. VAT

The Review Point is a compact plastic tabletop model for indoor use: a table, counter, reception desk or waiting area. The exact shape and dimensions are shown when selecting the standard design and in the digital design proposal.

Collection in Groningen is possible, or shipping is charged at cost. The usual delivery target is within five working days once the review link, logo, colour choice and other required input are complete.

  • One plastic tabletop model for indoor use, selected from standard models
  • Your business logo and one agreed primary brand colour
  • A QR code to your direct business review route
  • An NFC chip configured to the same destination
  • Verification of the supplied Google Review link before production
  • One digital design proposal and one consolidated revision round
  • QR and NFC testing on mobile devices before delivery
  • No subscription or hosting for the direct version

How does a Google Review board work?

1. We verify the right review route. You supply your Google Business Profile or direct review link; we check that it belongs to the right business and location. Each location with its own route needs its own configured board.

2. You receive a digital design. We use your logo and colour in a standard design, show one proposal before production and collect feedback in one revision round.

3. QR and NFC are configured. Both open the same review destination, either through a phone camera or a compatible phone tap.

4. We test the touchpoint. Before delivery, we check QR readability, NFC response, mobile opening behaviour and the board against the approved design.

5. You place it at a natural customer moment. Put the board where an experience has concluded; it shortens the route, while the customer decides whether and what to write.

Why use both NFC and a QR code?

NFC alone can be unclear for customers who do not know where to tap or have NFC disabled. A QR code is straightforward but requires opening the camera.

With both options, customers choose the easiest route. Both are tested against the same review destination before delivery, so customers do not have to search for your business or accidentally reach another location.

Can I create a Google Review QR code myself for free?

Yes. Google lets Business Profile owners create a review link and QR code, and explicitly suggests displaying it in a shop to ask customers for reviews.

If you only need a digital QR code to print yourself, you do not need an OmniTechs product. We do not recommend spending €49 when a free self-printed QR code solves the whole problem.

The OmniTechs Review Point is for businesses that also need a polished physical tabletop board with their logo, QR and NFC, NFC configuration, a checked review destination and professional testing.

What if my review link changes?

The direct Review Point is configured to the review route approved at production time. The NFC chip can often be reconfigured, but a printed QR code does not update automatically.

If the review route changes, reprogramming, a new visible component or a replacement board may be needed. OmniTechs first checks what is needed and confirms any cost before work starts. If destinations are likely to change often, a managed Presence Starter smart-link route is usually a better fit.

Honest reviews, without review gating

The board asks real customers voluntarily for an honest review. OmniTechs does not build systems that first ask whether a customer is satisfied, filter dissatisfied customers, request a particular star score, offer rewards or intercept negative reviews.

Google permits asking customers for a review based on a real experience, but prohibits discounts, payment or gifts in exchange for reviews, discouraging negative reviews and selectively asking for positive ratings.

  • Good board copy: ‘Share your experience — scan the QR code or tap with your phone.’
  • Copy we do not recommend: ‘Give us five stars’, ‘Satisfied? Leave a Google review’ or ‘Get 10% off for a review.’

Where should an NFC review board go?

Placement determines whether customers understand the board and see it at a natural moment after their experience is complete.

  • Shop: by the checkout or exit, after the purchase or service.
  • Restaurant, café or lunchroom: at payment, reception or exit; do not let it dominate the table experience.
  • Salon: by the mirror, reception or payment point after treatment.
  • Practice or care provider: a quiet, voluntary spot at reception or exit that respects privacy.
  • Garage or workshop: where the car, key or invoice is handed over.
  • Hotel or accommodation: at reception or checkout after the stay.

What is not included?

The fixed €49 excl. VAT price does not include custom work outside the stated scope. Any out-of-scope request is only completed once content, price and terms are confirmed separately.

  • A fully custom physical model or multiple prototypes
  • Logo design, a new brand identity or photography
  • On-site installation
  • Google Business Profile management or replies to reviews
  • Removing negative reviews or review campaigns
  • A smart-link page, hosting or visitor analytics
  • A guaranteed number of reviews, score or Google ranking

Frequently asked questions about the Google Review board

What is a Google Review board?

It is a physical touchpoint that makes it easier for customers to reach a business review page. With the OmniTechs Review Point, they scan a QR code or use the NFC capability of a compatible phone.

Does the board cost €49 every month?

No. The direct version costs €49 excl. VAT once. No hosting or subscription is needed while it points directly to the configured Google Review route.

Does my customer need an app?

No special OmniTechs app is needed. The QR code opens through the phone camera or QR capability; NFC opens the configured link on supported, correctly configured devices.

Does NFC work on every phone?

Not every phone or setting supports NFC in the same way. That is why the board also has a visible QR code.

Does the QR code work on every phone?

It can be used on smartphones with a working camera and QR-scanning capability. We do not promise compatibility with every device, operating system or camera model.

Will customers reach my review form directly?

The direct version is configured to your approved Google Review route, which OmniTechs checks before delivery.

Can I make the QR code myself for free?

Yes. Google provides review links and QR codes through Google Business Profile. The OmniTechs product adds a physical design, your logo, NFC configuration and prior testing.

Can I send only satisfied customers to the board?

We do not recommend or enable that. The request should be open to customers with a real experience, not used selectively to collect only positive ratings.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Google treats payment, discounts, free products or other benefits in exchange for a review as prohibited incentivised engagement.

Does the board guarantee more reviews?

No. It shortens the route and makes the review option more visible; customers decide whether to leave a review. OmniTechs does not guarantee review counts, star scores, rankings, enquiries or revenue.

Can a customer leave a negative review too?

Yes. The board opens an honest review route and does not filter customers by their expected opinion.

Can OmniTechs remove negative reviews?

No. OmniTechs does not manage or remove reviews as part of this product. Reviews that demonstrably violate Google policy can be reported through Google's official process, but removal cannot be guaranteed.

Can my logo be on the board?

Yes. One supplied business logo and one primary brand colour are included in the fixed scope.

How long does delivery take?

The usual delivery target is within five working days after all required input is complete and the digital design is approved.

Can I collect the board in Groningen?

Yes. Collection in Groningen is possible; shipping can be arranged at cost.

Can I add WhatsApp, my menu and directions later?

Not to the direct Google Review route itself. Presence Starter is better suited to that: it includes a smart-link page with up to six agreed links or actions and twelve months of hosting.

Is OmniTechs part of Google?

No. OmniTechs is an independent business and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or approved by Google.

Shorten the route to honest feedback
