Shape, details and use

Discover House of Books

House of Books gives a reading corner a small architectural centrepiece. In the creator examples, an open book rests across the roof ridge, with a mug beside the house. The roof and side ledge belong to one printed body rather than a kit of separate roof panels.

This order is for the smooth version. The creator also supplies a textured version with a broken-stone appearance; that is an alternative print, not a second body included in your order. We show the smooth design examples and calculate the complete original Smooth file, including its required supports.

Choose a colour to sit beside your books or contrast with the furniture. Check the intended book and its weight before using the roof as a rest; neither load capacity nor protection of the spine has been tested. The ledge is not a tested spill barrier. The fixed price covers the printed body. A light module, power supply and electrical assembly are separate, so this is not a ready-to-use reading light.

Print time and material for House of Books

One complete smooth House of Books printed body. The textured alternative, book, LED module and power supply are excluded. Electrical hardware and assembly are not included. The calculation covers all 1 printed parts at the original model scale.

Estimated print timeca. 6 h 52 min
Estimated filament weightca. 268.9 g PLA
Print plates1

These are Bambu Studio estimates for printing the plastic parts. Holder, cable, light source, assembly and shipping are excluded from this machine time and filament weight. Print time is not delivery time.

A different scale, colour or print setting can change the outcome. Millimetres were assumed for source files without a specified unit. The calculation does not confirm physical fit, finished dimensions or electrical properties.

Lamp guide

Does House of Books come with the smooth or textured finish?

This product is the smooth, one-piece printed body. The stone-textured version is a different original file and is not included as an extra part. The images and complete print data here describe the selected smooth version.

A roof for the book you have paused

The creator uses the ridge as a book rest, with an open book draped across both roof slopes. Check that your particular book sits securely without forcing its spine. We have not measured a load rating or tested how the shape affects different bindings.

A different finish needs a different calculation

The smooth planes give the house silhouette and filament colour a clear role. The textured alternative changes the surface and the source file. Ask about that version before ordering if it is the one you want; its production reference must be assessed separately.

Printed body and light are separate choices

The Bambu reference includes the whole smooth model and its supports on one plate. It measures machine time and material, not reading illuminance, book weight or electrical suitability. Provide the intended light module details for any custom fit assessment.

Leave room for the book as well as the house

Include the open book when choosing a position. Its pages extend beyond the roof, so the body footprint alone does not show how much space you need. Avoid squeezing the house between stacks of books if that makes it awkward to lift your paused book. Leave a clear reach between the side ledge and the front of the book too. The creator shows a mug as a styling and use example; it does not establish a maximum load or protection against spilled drinks.

Compare the shape in daylight as well. The roof, integrated compartments and side ledge remain part of the object when no light is installed. If your aim is to illuminate text for reading, the module needs a separate assessment. Share the intended use and the module dimensions. An atmospheric creator image does not tell you how much light reaches your book. Choose the body for its form and bookrest arrangement, then assess a specific lighting solution.
