Based in Groningen, OmniTechs also builds websites as standalone projects: you pay once for clearly scoped website development, rather than paying every month for the build itself. Hosting and maintenance are agreed separately. Prefer build, hosting and maintenance together? The ONE and LOCAL annual plans are a different, annual agreement.
One-time project price after a written quote
The short answer
Yes. Design and development can be delivered for a single, agreed project fee without turning build costs into an indefinite monthly subscription.
This does not mean a website stays online forever for free. Domain registration, hosting, and any third-party services will still be needed. The difference is that these ongoing costs are not bundled into a mandatory monthly retainer for the initial build.
Two payment models
Both models have legitimate use cases. The right choice depends on your starting budget, the level of ongoing support you need, and how frequently your site changes.

Choose the smallest fitting route
Sometimes a new website is not necessary yet. If an optimised Google Business Profile, an existing directory listing, or a simple smart link already handles your customer journey effectively, that may be the smaller, better solution.
Three decisions before signing
These agreements define what a one-off build payment means for your project.
Identify the domain, content and business-data owners and account access. Specify transfer rights for designs, technical files and external licences separately.
Separate the build fee from hosting, domains, maintenance and third-party services. Confirm the included period, optional renewal and change-request costs in writing.
Agree which files or exports are available, who performs the transfer and what timing and fees apply. Do not assume migration is included in the build price.
After the included period
Which hosting applies after handover, who performs technical maintenance and what a possible migration involves are confirmed in writing before work begins. This ensures subsequent hosting decisions are clear well before launch.
If you later stop hosting with OmniTechs, project agreements specify beforehand what can technically be exported or transferred, who performs each step, the timeframe, and any associated fees. Without such an agreement, you cannot assume the identical website can be seamlessly migrated elsewhere.
Terms regarding design assets, technical files, external components, and codebase rights are confirmed in writing per project.
Pre-agreement checklist
‘Paying once’ is only a sound proposition when the post-launch lifecycle is equally clear.
Review design, copywriting, mobile responsiveness, forms, SEO foundations, revision rounds, hosting, and support—not merely the number of sections.
Ensure domain registration, hosting, maintenance, licenses, modifications, and third-party tools are broken down separately.
Ask which hosting terminates, what is exportable, who handles migration, and what timing and fees apply.
Ensure the domain is registered under your business name and that you retain administrative access.
Explicitly document ownership of copy, images, business data, design files, codebases, external software licenses, and exports.
