Parts, material and use

The wide lens opening and round earpieces define the cyber look. At the same time, they must leave room for your head, any glasses and the desired fastening. The source mentions heat as a shaping method, but we have not carried out that post-processing or proven it as a suitable solution. A smaller or larger scale does not automatically mean a comfortable fit on the face.

Say whether it is for a photo accessory, a costume or a display object. For wearing, the view through the separate lens material must be assessed. This is not safety eyewear or a protective face shield. Compare an open mask if you do not want a lens added. The final lens colour and the print colour are separate choices and both belong in the request.

  • The visor is a printed frame, not complete glasses with a ready-made lens. The designer mentions a separately cut tinted screen material and fastening in the frame. Our reference contains the print geometry; lens, glue, strap and assembly are missing from the gram and time total. We discuss which version is usable before a wearable product is confirmed.

These are calculated reference values, not a weighed product or a physical test print. The usage includes generated support material. Assembly, finishing, loose parts and extra material for colour changes are not included. Print time is not delivery time. A different size, colour layout or print setting changes the calculation.

3MF dimensions follow the embedded unit. For STL and OBJ geometry we assume millimetres; those files do not prove a unit of measurement themselves. For assembled products, outer dimensions per part are not a measurement of the finished object. A mask fit, lamp holder, load capacity or food safety does not follow from a successful slice.

What is still missing from a printed cyber visor?

The visor is a printed frame, not complete glasses with a ready-made lens. The designer mentions a separately cut tinted screen material and fastening in the frame. Our reference contains the print geometry; lens, glue, strap and assembly are missing from the gram and time total. We discuss which version is usable before a wearable product is confirmed.

Shape and version

The wide lens opening and round earpieces define the cyber look. At the same time, they must leave room for your head, any glasses and the desired fastening. The source mentions heat as a shaping method, but we have not carried out that post-processing or proven it as a suitable solution. A smaller or larger scale does not automatically mean a comfortable fit on the face.

Choosing for your spot

Say whether it is for a photo accessory, a costume or a display object. For wearing, the view through the separate lens material must be assessed. This is not safety eyewear or a protective face shield. Compare an open mask if you do not want a lens added. The final lens colour and the print colour are separate choices and both belong in the request.

From outer size to use

Where possible, measure face width, height and eye position, and mention room for glasses. Say how the mask will be fastened and how long you want to wear it. A print's outer dimensions can help, but they do not replace a fit check. For a display object, wearing comfort and strap do not need to serve the same purpose. Colour, edge finishing, lining and fastening are separate choices. These costume objects are not protective equipment and are not offered with a universal fit.

What does the print calculation tell you?

The data for this example comes from a complete, selected print reference with SUNLU PLA+. It is not a measurement of a finished product. Material use can include support that is removed later; machine time does not include assembly, finishing or shipping. For separate parts, the individual print runs are added up. The table shows the selected quantities and outer dimensions per print geometry. Those dimensions do not prove inner space, fit or load capacity. A different scale or colour version needs a new assessment, because connections and extra material for colour changes can change.
