The curved spine forms one recognisable silhouette. Give the moon a calm background and enough space to let the contour speak. Your choice of colour decides whether it blends into a dark wall or stands out clearly against it.

Parts, material and use
The Vertebrae moon is a crescent made up of a row of vertebrae. From the thick middle pieces it tapers to two thin points, just like a crescent moon. The design is by Deadmoon Designs, known for angular, organic shapes with a dark edge. We print it to order in 3D-printed plastic.
Hang it above a cabinet, next to the bookshelf or in the hallway. In white or bone colour it looks like real bone; in black it becomes sleeker and more graphic. You choose the colour yourself. Hanging material such as adhesive strips or a small nail is not included. For indoor use, not in full sun behind glass. We deliver within 30 days at most; put a deadline such as 31 October in the note field.

3MF dimensions follow the embedded unit. For STL and OBJ geometry we assume millimetres; those files do not prove a unit of measurement themselves. For assembled products, outer dimensions per part are not a measurement of the finished object. A mask fit, lamp holder, load capacity or food safety does not follow from a successful slice.

Halloween home decor
How do you hang wall decorations without drilling?
For light decorations, use removable adhesive strips, adhesive hooks or a small nail. If you have a picture rail, you can hang something from a cord without touching the wall. Always check the weight stated on the packaging and the type of wall.
Ways to hang without a drill
- Removable adhesive strips: they stick to a smooth, clean wall and can later be pulled off without marks, if you do it right.
- Adhesive hooks: a hook with an adhesive strip, handy if your object has a hanging loop or opening.
- A thin nail or a picture hook: leaves a small hole that you can fill later with a little filler.
- A picture rail with cord: nothing on the wall itself, and easy to move.
- A narrow shelf or picture ledge: stand the piece on it instead of hanging it.
Check on the packaging how much weight a strip or hook can carry, and stay well below it. If necessary, weigh your piece on a kitchen scale.
Common mistakes
- Sticking adhesive strips on a dusty, greasy or freshly painted wall. Then they won't hold.
- Using strips on textured wallpaper or a rough plastered wall.
- Using too few strips for a long or wide piece, so that it hangs crooked.
- Pulling the strip straight off the wall instead of stretching it along the wall, so paint comes off with it.
- Hanging something above a radiator, where adhesive and plastic get warm.
Hanging the Vertebrae moon
A 3D-printed piece like the Vertebrae moon is not solid inside and is therefore usually light. On a smooth wall you can hang it with a few removable adhesive strips on the back. Put a strip on each side and one in the middle, so the points don't start to tip forward. On a rough wall, a small nail or a shelf is the better choice. Hang it at eye level or just above, where the vertebrae look their best.
Do not hang it above the radiator or in a window in full sun: ordinary 3D-printing plastic such as PLA softens from about 55 to 60 degrees. Unsure about the size or the way to hang it? Ask your question in the note field when you order.
