Technology projects get expensive when the solution is chosen before the problem, users and limits are clear. Scope, evidence and decisions stay ahead of the largest investment.
From first assessment to handover
If the route is still unclear, a Solution Session or a short question helps. Before every paid step you receive the work, price, schedule, payment terms and limits in writing. If a Solution Sprint is needed, you accept that Sprint first; any later implementation gets its own proposal and a new agreement.
The usual sequence
Intake — what hurts, who is involved, what already exists.
Fit — website, software, automation, SEO agency, Google Ads agency, or print; sometimes not us.
Scope — written boundaries, ownership and what is out of scope.
Build and handoff — deliver against the brief, then confirm access and next maintenance.

Why a fit check exists
A fit check tests whether the request matches what we deliver. It is not a free full proposal factory.
If the work is clear and small, we may go straight to a quote. If it is ambiguous, the fit check prevents building the wrong thing.
What we will not do
No guaranteed rankings, lead counts or ROAS. No rewriting Dutch ranking winners for English keyword calques. No fake case metrics.
If another specialist or a pause is the better answer, we say so.
Questions about the process
Is every project a long discovery?
No. Clear packaged work can move faster. Discovery appears when the workflow or systems are unclear enough that guessing would waste money.
